ProKI-Hannover
Demonstration and Transfer Network AI in Production.
ProKI is a Germany-wide demonstration and transfer network for the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in production, which is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). With the aim of further promoting the application of AI among small and medium-sized enterprises, ProKI centers for various areas of manufacturing technology are being established at a total of eight German universities.
The ProKI center in Hanover is led by the Institute for Manufacturing Technology and Machine Tools (IFW) at Leibniz Universität Hannover and focuses on the use of AI in the cutting manufacturing process. In addition to the IFW, the Institute for Factory Installations and Logistics (IFA) and the Institute for Microproduction Technology (IMPT) are also involved. The occupational science perspective is contributed to the project by the professorship for innovation management inno. The research center L3S of Leibniz University supports the development of AI approaches.
ProKI-Hannover offers companies practical testing of various AI use cases in machining as well as accompanying training and consulting services. In this way, companies benefit from needs-based and topic-specific offers on the subject of AI, both for beginners and for advanced users. In addition to Hanover, further ProKI centers are being set up at universities in Aachen, Berlin, Darmstadt, Dresden, Ilmenau, Karlsruhe and Nuremberg.
