Javad earned his Ph.D. (Dr.-Eng.) in data processing from Friedrich-Schiller University of Jena, Germany, in 2018, where he developed a declarative query language, QUIS, for heterogeneous data processing.
Currently, Javad serves as a scientific researcher and Research Group Lead at the L3S Research Center, Leibniz University Hannover, Germany. Since 2018, he has led the Industrial Data Management Group (IDMG), which conducts research on AI/ML and data governance in large-scale edge-cloud environments.
Javad’s extensive experience includes managing and successfully completing several large-scale projects, such as BOOST 4.0, STREAM, DiASPora, and BRAINE. He is presently leading the DataBri-X, GLACIATION, CLEVER, and SMARTY projects. These initiatives, supported by EU and German funding agencies with budgets exceeding €50 million, involve collaborations with multinational universities, enterprises, SMEs, and research institutions.
Beyond research leadership, Javad actively engages with global stakeholders by presenting scientific results, participating in project reviews, and contributing to international dissemination events.
