With Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Nejdl and Prof. Dr. Marius Lindauer, two L3S members have been appointed to the German AI Platform “Plattform Lernende Systeme”. The platform, chaired by Federal Research Minister Bettina Stark-Watzinger and Reinhard Ploss (German Academy of Science and Engineering/acatech), acts as an independent “broker” to promote interdisciplinary exchange and social dialog on AI. Around 200 members from science, business and society develop expert opinions, use cases and recommendations for action for the introduction and use of trustworthy AI systems in various domains. Marius Lindauer is involved in WG 1 on Technological Enablers & Data Science. Wolfgang Nejdl is a member of WG 6 on AI for Health Care, Medical Technology & Care.
