At L3S, we constantly strive to create a positive and collaborative environment in which research and progress are supported and encouraged. Our ultimate goal is to empower people from different backgrounds to advance research and development for an innovative economy and society.
The L3S is governed by a Board of Directors led by the Executive Director.
The driving force behind the L3S work on trustworthy AI and methods and technologies for the Digital Transformation are the Members, which include more than 30 outstanding researchers from various disciplines such as Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Natural Science, and Sociology.
With 5 group leaders and around 200 researchers, the L3S is one of the largest AI institutes in Germany.
The L3S is supported by a productive staff team in the areas of Administration, Communications, and Information Technology.
