L3S Director Prof. Wolfgang Nejdl is the best computer scientist in Lower Saxony according to a ranking just released by research.com, a leading academic platform for researchers.
In the 2024 edition of the ranking of best Scientists in the field of Computer Science Prof. Wolfgang Nejdl has ranked #29 in Germany and #807 in the world ranking. He has also been recognized with a Computer Science Leader Award for 2024.
For the 2024 report, the Research.com team looked at more than 12,000 scientist profiles from various bibliometric sources. The researchers examined a variety of indices and criteria to determine which scientists should be included in the list.
The ranking is based on the D-index (Discipline H-index) metric, which only includes papers and citation values for an examined discipline. The ranking includes only leading scientists with a D-index of at least 30 for academic publications made in the area of Computer Science.
