Is there a right to treatment with AI? How do you protect patient data while making it a resource for AI applications for the benefit of future patients? How can doctors and nurses interact with algorithmic systems in assessment and decision-making situations?
These and other questions are the focus of the symposium “Law and Ethics of Artificial Intelligence and Biomedicine” on 16 May 2023 at Herrenhausen Palace. Discuss with experts from various fields of science and application, including Prof. Dr. Alena Buyx, Chair of the German Ethics Council, Dr. Maren Lang, Director Bioinformatics R&D at BioNTech, Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Brück, Spokesman of the Board of the University Medical Center Göttingen, and Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Nejdl, Professor of Computer Science and Executive Director of the L3S Research Centre. The focus will be on the potential of AI-based applications in medicine as well as the associated ethical, legal and social questions of data and technology use. The symposium is aimed at the broad professional public from medicine, science, health industry and politics as well as the interested public.
Participation is free of charge. The conference language is German.
