Research freedom vs. data protection: how can barriers be removed?

FODAHEMM is an interdisciplinary research project that aims to explore the tension between the right to informational self-determination and freedom of research, and to provide recommendations on how to reduce barriers to data protection in research projects. The project analyses the current legal framework and practical approaches to dealing with the complexities of data protection in the higher education and research landscape, with the aim of developing practical solutions that address the concerns of all stakeholders.
