KIEEP
Artificial intelligence for efficient renewable energy project planning
The KIEEP project aims to accelerate the expansion of renewable energies by using Artificial Intelligence (AI). The focus is on developing a web-based software prototype that automatically collects, processes, and provides location-referenced information on regulatory frameworks for wind and solar parks. By reducing the information asymmetry between planning agents and project developers, KIEEP enables a more efficient allocation of resources and thereby accelerates the land development process.
The innovative combination of Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) represents a novel approach to addressing the challenges of renewable energy project planning. KIEEP is being implemented in close collaboration between Nefino GmbH and the Institute for Information Processing at Leibniz University Hannover.
