Adaptive and dynamic personal guidance for self-rescue and rescue of others

Detection of persons and surroundings on the basis of radar signals.

In the PRAD joint project, the Institute of Communications Technology is working on a sub-project entitled detection of persons and surrounding on the basis of radar signals. A radar sensor is to be installed in one or more escape signal light(s), which will make it possible to monitor the room in question with regard to people present who are incapable of rescuing themselves or changed environmental conditions and to transmit information to the emergency services via the communication interfaces to be developed by the other project partners.
